Queensborough Community College
The NSDC Institutional Chapter at Queensborough Community College was built to serve as a community for those within different majors at the university, who want to network and learn more about Data Science specifically. December 3, 2025 – Event Recap – Virtual Fireside Chat with Jonathan Presley, Senior Data Scientist & AI Strategist at Pepsi
The inaugural event successfully launched the NSDC QCC Chapter. The agenda included an interactive poll of attendees’ understanding of data science, an overview of the field, and available career pathways. The main attraction was a conversation with Jonathan Presley, Senior Data Scientist at PepsiCo. Student attendees were most curious about the journey to becoming a data scientist and how to reach senior-level roles during the Q&A session. The new chapter connects students to the National Student Data Corps’ network and resources.
