The NSDC Institutional Chapter at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) holds immense potential for comprehensive educational enrichment, community development, and career advancement. This Chapter will serve as a platform to connect students with peers and industry professionals by providing valuable hands-on experience and internship opportunities. Students of NYIT are welcome to join this Chapter. To join an NSDC Chapter at another Institution (university or college), or to join a Regional Chapter (Midwest, Northeast, South, or West), visit the Chapter Central website.
Chapter Activities & Projects
The chapter will facilitate project-based collaborations, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios and fostering a culture of hands-on learning through tailored workshops and seminars. Participants can sharpen their data analysis, machine learning, and data science skills; moreover, this Chapter will actively contribute to community development by organizing outreach programs, engaging with local schools, and making data science education accessible to a broader audience.
As part of our Chapter’s agenda, we are excited to announce the hosting of a Data Science Club event on campus scheduled for March 4th. This event will serve as a platform for students to actively engage in discussions, share insights, and participate in hands-on activities related to data science. To enhance the event’s impact, we also have invited industry professionals from our esteemed alumni network to join us. We envision this event as a catalyst for fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and inspiring the next generation of data science enthusiasts at NYIT.
