The School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences (SMNS), part of the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University (ASU), invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar position associated with the US NSF Center for Analysis and Prediction of Pandemic Expansion (APPEX) in areas associated with mathematical and computational models in pandemic science. These models can be applied in any relevant field! Sociology, Computer Science, Psychology, Game Theory, Immunology, Physics, and/or Ecology. Yes! Any/all of them! 💻 Data Liaison, The Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice at the University of Chicago

The Data Liaison works with staff at the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) on behalf of the Consortium, the To&Through Project, the Inclusive Economy Lab, and the other CPS Collaborative Research Partners, facilitating the provision of CPS data in support of their research projects. A Consortium staff member will supervise the Data Liaison and a CPS staff member will serve as the point of contact for the work being done at CPS. This is a grant funded position, with a grant end date of 6/30/2028. If replacement funding is not identified, the position will end on 6/30/2028.

The Data Manager is an integral member of UP Partnership’s strategic impact teams, contributing to a range of education research and policy projects that support UP Partnership’s efforts to increase awareness of and commitment to advance equity in our youth-serving systems and close racial/ethnic disparities in educational outcomes. The Data Manager plays a key resource role in developing tools and analyzing existing data and research to support strategy selection, designing data collection methods to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies, and visualizing results in comprehensive and compelling ways.
