Comilla University
The NSDC Institutional Chapter at Comilla University was built with the aim of helping students who might not otherwise have access to data science education. Chapter Activities & Projects
Planned Chapter Activities and Initiatives for Comilla University’s NSDC Chapter may include:
- Data Science 101 Workshops: We will offer introductory workshops to demystify data science and spark interest among students with no prior experience.
- Skill-Building Courses: We will organize courses on fundamental data science topics like Python programming, data analysis, and machine learning, catering to students at varying levels.
- Hackathons and Project Competitions: We will host hackathons and project competitions to provide students with a platform to apply their knowledge and collaborate in a fun, competitive environment.
- Mentorship Program: We will connect students with data science professionals for personalized guidance and career advice.
- Data Science Study Groups: We will establish regular study groups where students can work on projects together, troubleshoot problems, and learn from each other.
- Speaker Series: We will invite data science experts and industry professionals to share their knowledge and experiences with our chapter members.
- Social Events: We will organize social events to create a sense of community and build connections among students with a shared interest in data science.
- Resource Sharing: We will actively participate in the NSDC’s resource-sharing platform, contributing our own educational materials and benefiting from the resources developed by other chapters.
- Mentorship Exchange: We will explore the possibility of a mentorship exchange program with other NSDC chapters, allowing our students to connect with mentors from diverse backgrounds.
- Joint Workshops and Events: We will collaborate with other chapters to host joint workshops, hackathons, and other events, fostering a sense of national collaboration and learning from each other’s strengths.
